OUR MISSION
We love love, and we love your love for each other. When we shoot your wedding we will be there right by side, capturing all the little details and the big emotions that go on through the day. We are there as your support crew, your timeline keeper (seriously let us take on the stress of staying on schedule), and the documenters of your day. We tie ties, bustle dresses, and are not afraid to shake our way to the middle of the dance floor with you. But in all seriousness we are there to make you feel comfortable, and to capture your wedding day in a way that is beautiful, and true to you and your love story.

OUR STYLE
It’s Photojournalistic with a flare. Thirty years from now we want you looking back at your wedding photos remembering all of the family and friends you were surrounded by, the laughs, tears, smiles, hugs, and of course the dance party. We want your photos to be a true representation of you, your wedding day and your story, it’s going to be magical all on its own. Now that being said we will hunt down the most amazing light for the dreamiest portraits of you lovers, we’ll arrange and shoot all the little details you put so much time into choosing, and we’ll capture the magical feeling of the day’s big picture. What we’re trying to say is that we’re not going to put you into awkwardly overly posed positions, we will be telling the story of your day in its most authentic way, while capturing the stunning photos you’ve dreamed of.

OUR APPROACH
We love shooting weddings, we love the emotions of the day, we love getting to be such a close part of peoples’ weddings, we love pouring ourselves into our couples-and there's a few things that we do to make sure that never changes. First and foremost, we shoot all of our weddings together. For one, it's so much fun working with your spouse! We truly get excited to work together and collaborate on something beautiful. We also feel it helps make the day run smooth, knowing how to ebb and flow with each other throughout your big day. Up until the first look or when the groom walks down the aisle, couples usually aren't together and having two shooters ensures that we’re not missing any of those amazing little moments with the bride or groom. We also only shoot a handful (about 7-10) of weddings each year. This helps keep every wedding feeling fresh and exciting, we never want to feel burnt out or uninspired for someone's big day! We also both have other full time gigs, and love spending weekends away snowboarding, fishing, and surfing-it's all about balance, right? What it all boils down to is that we want to give every single wedding our all, because that's what they deserve.

GET TO KNOW BRIT
Where to start? Hii, I’m Britney! One t, ney, because everyone always gets it wrong. :)
I grew up in Southern California. Started gymnastics when I was six, when I saw the ’96 Olympics, I knew that was going to be my sport. I got a college scholarship for gymnastics to Cal State Fullerton, where I graduated with a degree in Communications, Public Relations. A lot of good I’ve put that to use ;) An injury kept me from finishing my collegiate gymnastics career (I can still do a mean walking handstand though) but got to stay on and coach my team. After college I rushed into a desk job. That didn’t last long. I was quick to realize that I needed a creative outlet, so I took an internship and started my own small business called Relevant + Raw at the same time. What started out as a company making wood home décor has grown into a full-on creative brand, making large scale art installations, backdrops and window displays. Before that I first found a passion to create in photography. I wanted to shoot everything, but didn’t know where to start. So, I started with nature, I would get up early every morning to shoot the sunrise and make sure to make it to the beach for sunset. Photography has been intricately woven through every aspect of my life since. Whether its road tripping with my husband, shooting family photos or weddings. I absolutely love the story behind the image and finding ways to bring that to life. I want to create moments and memories that people can hold onto for a lifetime. I get really excited about the people I meet and work with, and I feel like getting the chance to shoot someone’s photo, quickly breaks down barriers and really lets you get to know them.
I love love, and I love capturing love! There is nothing more true, vulnerable and beautiful. This past year I got to marry the love of my life, Kevin, and it’s been an absolute dream! Getting to capture other people’s weddings has always brought so much happiness to me but getting to do it after going through my own wedding has made it so much sweeter!

GET TO KNOW KEVIN
If you clicked through above then you already know that I love spicy food and have strong toes. Regardless of if you clicked through or not, now you're wondering about the toes, I’ll have to explain in person and I promise to keep my shoes on.
I grew up in Southern California, obsessed with surfing, skating, and snowboarding, like most other kids. I found photography early on via my mom’s old camera. Photography really clicked (no pun intended) for me in highschool and before long I was that kid hanging out in the dark room making prints during lunch. It was natural to combine my love of photography with my love of action sports, paying for rides to the beach with my older brother and his friends by shooting photos of them before surfing myself. Shooting with my brother led to shooting local pro surfers, which led to an internship at Surfer Magazine at 18, a job with one of their top photographers a few years later, and trips to far off locations with some of the world’s best surfers by the time I graduated college. It was an incredible experience and taught me a lot about shooting on the fly and working in every kind of condition.
These days I’m just a 30 something version of the same surf and snow stoked kid. I don't hide away in darkrooms anymore but the feeling is just the same when I’m going through a recent shoot and pulling out all my favorite images. Alongside shooting weddings I work as the Head of Content for Electric, a sunglass and snowboard goggle company. It’s amazing getting to create content for the brand and help shape the creative direction of a company that I was a fan of as a kid.
Best of all, I recently married the love of my life (you met her above) and we get to do this whole wedding photography thing together! We have a blast shooting with each other, whether it's working weddings, road tripping up the coast, or just walking around our little beach town home. You’ve probably stopped reading by now, but if not that's me in a nutshell. Sure there’s plenty more, but let's save some for in person!
